In Sanskrit, Vaastu means “build an environment and / or surrounding” and Shastra means a perfect system or by-laws. The word Vaastu came from the Vastva, means anything that provides shelter. VaastuShastra tells the methods for building any kind of shelter that has congenital environment due to the combined positive effects of the five elements called PanchMahabhuta. VaastuShastra encompasses the techniques to decide directions, placement and positioning of various aspects related to the building. If any shelter, be it home, commercial establishment or industrial premise, is built on by proper utilization of various energies that comes from atmosphere / surroundings like solar energy from sun, moon energy, cosmic energy, thermal energy, magnetic field/energy, light energy, wind energy. These energies can be balanced to enhance peace, prosperity and success. If a shelter/house / establishments made according to these principles, the inmates enjoy all the happiness in life. HISTORY OF VAASTU-SHASTRA
The Vedic social system and all its elements were based on logical reasons essentially required for the overall welfare of the individual. This whole social structure was aimed at defining a proper system that creates synergy between cosmic energies and human shelter. In Vaidic times, the scholars were well-versed with advanced scientific applications known as Subh-vaastu.
